“What is your dream?”. It is a question that we have been asked for whole life. So, what is my dream? I dreamed to be a baker when I was about six because I love eating sweet and enjoy mixing everything together.
Then I found that I love to draw everywhere, and my mind was full of fantasy. I could paint the whole wall at home (which my mum really hates me to do that), sketched on every single textbook especially mathematic, and even my school desk was covered by my draw. By that time, I realize, I could never leave art. My dream, is all about art.

I started to learn design when I studied High Diploma of Visual Communication in Hong Kong Design Institute for two years. I equipped myself by learning how to use those design tools and skills. Every time I meet a challenge, I will process it by design thinking and consider more about the user. We communicate and express our message through designing. Solving the problem while considering the practicability, accessibility, and creativity at the same time.
After I finished the high diploma course, I know I still have long way to go on this path. Therefore, I applied the Degree of Bachelor of Graphic Design in Coventry University and continue to work for further improvement. I have learned more about design and marketing strategy like run a social media campaign and attract target customer. This knowledge would help me to develop my career completely.
To gain more design experience, I worked in a print company for summer internship from July to August 2019 and stayed as a part-time graphic designer till July 2020. The main task of my work is to design lots of print item online templates. People can customize our design template to their own product. My second task is to design advertisement and promotional items for restaurant to promote discount or new launch. As design and printing are closely related, I have got deeper about printing knowledge, and it did help me with my future.
After I left the print company, I joined a start-up company as part-time graphic designer. The company sells CBD products: CBD skincare line to help problem skin and CBD oil to comfort emotions. As it is a start-up company and I am the only designer in the house, I have to work really fast and reach every day’s target. The biggest challenge for me is to rebrand. The company asked for a brand-new style and come up with a mood board. This is my first time to in charge the whole brand and I found great satisfaction in this project.
